The large 5/8” x 6” diameter ring fits securely in the slotted opening of the star plate and is held in a fixed, UPRIGHT position by constant tension from the chain weight. In this manner it is always ready for a quick and easy tie up! The rugged 1/4” x 6” diameter concave star plate is designed to fit the top of your buoy and prevent "pull through". Routine visible inspection is a must for all mooring systems and the Jim Buoy #1 System provides easy and visible inspection at ALL points of wear.
